Here is a very interesting solution on how to get your hotmail or windows live mail on your pc or smartphone or iphone:
- All you need is a google mail (gmail) account. If you don't have one, create one; it is free.
- Login to your gmail and go to Settings.
- Go to "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" and "Enable IMAP" in "IMAP Access" section.
- You can even set in the "Forwarding" section to forward all gmail to another typical pop/imap account that you use. Save the changes.
- Go to "Accounts and Import" and in section "Check mail using POP3" press the "Add POP3 email account" button. A pop-up window will be displayed and a wizard will be initiated. Follow the instructions and fill-in the required information. At the end of this process, a confirmation email will be sent to your hotmail account to get an access code. Do not close the wizard, just login your hotmail, copy the code and paste it in the wizard to complete the process.
What you have accomplished:
All email sent to your hotmail/livemail will be forwarded to your gmail account and then forwarded to your main email account. All you need to do is set up your main account in your computer/smartphone/iphone and all mail from hotmail/live and gmail will be forwarded to your main account.
